FLUID MECHANICS LAB 


The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory is an integral part of the Engineering. The facilities are used to offer Fluid Mechanics Lab to run demonstrative experiments to Civil, Mechanical students. The Fluid Mechanics course is an introduction to the mechanics of incompressible and compressible fluids. It covers the principles and more important theories of modern fluid mechanics. The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory course is an indispensable supplement to the theory. It covers measuring devices and techniques, error analysis in experimental works and analysis of assumptions in the theory of fluid mechanics.




MSM LAB

Materials science also commonly known as materials science and engineering, is an interdisciplinary field which deals with the discovery and design of new materials. Though it is a relatively new scientific field that involves studying materials through the materials paradigm (synthesis, structure, properties, and performance), its intellectual origins reach back to the emerging fields of chemistry, mineralogy, and engineering during the Enlightenment. It incorporates elements of physics and chemistry and is at the forefront of nanoscience and nanotechnology research.

Basic principles of material science are used to study the structure-properties relationships of various materials for their proper applications in this subject. Especially study of different types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, in terms of their composition, structure, properties and applications; non-destructive testing are included  to understand the basic concept of selection and processing of metals and materials for their applications.

  • Know about the ferrous and non ferrous metals and alloys and their applications. 
  • Understand different non-destructive testing methods.
  • Find the causes and prevention of metallic corrosion. 5. Judge the Scope and limitations of different materials.
 




MP -1 LAB


The course is meant as an introduction towards primary manufacturing processes such as casting, forming and welding. These processes are additive in nature, i.e. the manufacture of the object takes place by combining or building from scratch (Contrast this with subtractive manufacturing processes of material removal like turning/milling where the manufacture is made from by reducing an existing chunk of material).
 
  • 1 Understand the basic concept of machining operations.
  • Analyze any conventional machining processes  
  • Generate the sequence of machining operation to produce the end product.
  • Judge the limitations and scope of machines to perform variety of operations.
 




WORK SHOP LAB

Workshop practice is the backbone of the real industrial environment which helps to develop and enhance relevant technical hand skills required by the technician working in the various engineering industries and workshops. Irrespective of branch, the use of workshop practices in day to day industrial as well domestic life helps to dissolve the problems 
  • Understand the basic concept of Material Science and Metallurgy.

Understanding of basic principles of Mechanical Engineering is required in various field of engineering. To aware about basic equipments used in mechanical engineering fields and to know that function and characteristics.
